Free Day at the Zoo

The zoo is celebrating MLK day — by offering free admissions! They encourage (but do not require) donations in the barrels by the gates, of food or gently-used clothing. These donations are to benefit SnowCap and Transition Projects. Hours are 10AM to 4PM.

I am a nanny who just moved back to the Portland area. I was living in Berkeley, and there was an excellent network for finding out about nannying opportunities called the Berkeley Parents Network.

Do you know of any such network / blog here that is mainly focused on finding tutors / schools / babysitters and nannies for families? I have a lot to offer and raelly hope to become connected within the childcare community here soon.

    Thank you for your interest.
