Join us for a special screening of Ghostbusters to benefit Libraries Yes!, the campaign to save our libraries.

With 50% of libraries funds up for a vote this November, saving the library is up to all of us.

What: Special screening of Ghostbusters plus free ice cream provided by Ben & Jerry’s Uptown Center
When: Sunday, September 17th 4:30 – 7pm
Where: Cinema 21, 616 NW 21st Avenue, Portland, OR
Cost: $10 per adult, $5 for children 15 and under

GirlFest 2006

Saturday, September 30, 2006 girls of all ages, from every community will gather at the Portland Expo Center to participate in hands-on activities, try new things, and learn about resources and opportunities for girls in our community. GirlFest is free for all girls and their families. No registration is required.

Though admission is free, don’t forget your money; parking is $7 per car (with a dollar discount if you have 3 or more) and of course there will be stuff for sale, including their “Big Book of Girl Stuff,” apparel and patches.

Need lodging for the Girlfest? Try Oxford Suites; they’re clean and close.
